Light-Pack Bushwalking

The older I get and the more overnight walking I do, the more I'm interested in light-pack bushwalking. My 2010 New Year's resolution was to lose 1kgm of pack weight per year and a tarptent, GoLite pack and compact digital camera gave me a couple of year's head start.

There are many web sites covering this topic but, for me, the best was to approach a local living legend guru for practical advice. I'm happy to copy whatever he does, tried and true for local Aussie conditions. Terence Uren has given me permission to publish the articles referenced below, with the caveat that he is not a qualified dietician/nutritionist, simply a keen bushwalker who has read what he can readily find on the subject. It's a great start into this area.
